We are seeking a skilled and passionate Stay-In Chef specializing in Chinese cuisine to join our company. The ideal candidate will possess at least 3 years of experience in preparing diverse and authentic Chinese dishes. Your role will involve not only cooking but also planning menus, managing kitchen inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Menu Planning:
Create and prepare a diverse range of traditional and modern Chinese dishes that cater to the preferences and dietary restrictions of the household.
Food Preparation:
Skillfully prepare and cook a variety of Chinese meals, including but not limited to dim sum, stir-fries, soups, braised dishes, and rice and noodle dishes.
Ingredient Management:
Maintain a thorough understanding of ingredients used in Chinese cuisine, including spices, sauces and unique ingredients.
Culinary Techniques:
Utilize authentic Chinese cooking techniques such as wok cooking, steaming, braising, and deep frying to deliver high-quality dishes.
Quality Control:
Ensure all meals are prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and safety.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Inventory Management:
Keep track of food inventory, place orders for ingredients, and minimize waste.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the household members to accommodate meal preferences and special occasions.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a chef, with a focus on Chinese cuisine.
Demonstrated knowledge of traditional and regional Chinese dishes.
Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
Ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
