Are you a skilled CFO looking to elevate your career?Our client is a family-owned business that originated in South Africa but has since relocated their operations to Botswana. Initially starting as a construction company, they have diversified their business over time, expanding into property management and investment. As a listed fund, they have spread their assets across multiple countries including Mozambique, Madagascar, Namibia, and South Africa. The collective value of these diverse building types amounts to R 8 Billion. With a recent vacancy in their team, they are looking for a knowledgeable CFO to be based in Cape Town. This role will have you reporting to the COO and participating in EXCO meetings by providing advice on relevant matters. You will have multiple Financial Managers and Accountants reporting to you. Key accountabilities such as developing and implementing financial controls, maintaining asset registers, ensuring compliance with applicable legislations, budgets and preparation of management accounts will fall on to you. Additionally, you will be tasked with overseeing group accounting, training, and managing relevant staff, cashflow projections, liaising with external auditor to name a few. To be considered for this role you will need be a qualified CA (SA), have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a financial management role and at least 5 years of experience working for a real estate fund. It is essential to have demonstrated skills in handling finances for multiple companies and a strong understanding of Botswana tax laws and financial regulations. Only candidates residing in Cape Town will be considered for this role.
