Seeking a Chief Financial Officer with a focus on 'superior process performance', ensuring optimal and efficient processes. With a BCom Honours/CA (SA) Qualification, the CFO will lead the Finance department in line with financial standards and possess CPA and CMA certifications.The CFO will drive financial management, performance, risk management, strategic planning, leadership, and operational efficiency. Job description / core competencies:To manage the Finance department in line with legislated, contractual, and acceptable financial standards and provide clear leadership and directionProvide the CEO and other members of the executive management team with financial forecasts and pro-active analysis to enhance performance and improve commercial outcomes
Drive the Procurement strategy and methods. Ensure that the procurement practices are compliant with group policies and support the company organisation with the purchasing process.
Manages a small team of procurement professionals in the execution of a portfolio of procurement projects, to manage solicitations and contracts.
Oversee & monitor the operation, improvements, and upgrades of company IT systems
Is accountable for the Contract Management and preparation for follow-up negotiations.
Manage relationships with relevant stakeholders (the shareholders, the client, auditors, banks, external partners, regulatory authorities, etc.)
Implement the Compliance process in line with International shareholder requirements and law.Financial Management & Performance:
Accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.
Establish the accounting and control functions to ensure that 'best practice processes are implemented and sustained.
Realistic budgets and forecasts aligning with organizational goals and all departments
Own the budget process and associated guidelines - coordinate the development of the annual budget with all departments,
approving finance plans and budgets with the board and providing feedback to the departments on the approved budget.
Ensure daily operations meet the performance level of the O&M contract agreement.
Negotiate finance plans and budgets, as well as variation orders
Optimize working capital.
Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
Provide strategic financial insights through analysis.
Achieve revenue targets
Maintain or improve profit margins.
Optimize investments and assets for ROI.
Control costs and enhance efficiency.Risk Management:
Mitigate market, credit, and operational risks.
Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Maintain effective internal control systems.
Oversee audit processes and governance practices.Strategic Planning:
Align financial goals with organizational objectives.
Identify growth opportunities and partnerships.
Evaluate and execute M&A strategies.
Secure optimal funding options.Leadership and Management:
Develop and guide finance team members.
Communicate effectively with auditors, analysts, EXCO and board members.
Lead financial aspects of organizational transformations.
Mentor future finance leaders.

Streamline financial processes and systems.
Ensure weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting procedures are in place and operating effectively.

Oversee financial outsourcing and vendor relationships.
Identify, implement, and oversee the appropriate level of internal control.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Measure financial metrics, ROE, ROA.
Analyze Debt-to-Equity ratio and Interest Coverage ratio.
Optimize Cash conversion cycle and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
