Job SummaryOur client is seeking a strong, skilled, and talented Chief Operations Officer to be the right-hand person to their CEO. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills and a creative approach to business. The COO will lead their team of high-performing professionals to be efficient, productive, and effective. Candidates should have extensive experience in the Textile or Apparel Manufacturing industry, ideally having progressed to an executive role. This experience should provide a unique mix of business and management expertise, along with proficiency in industry practices, policies, and procedures.Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the CEO to set and drive organizational vision, operations strategy, and hiring levels.
  • Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning.
  • Oversee company operations and employee productivity, fostering a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members thrive and meet organizational goals.
  • Direct daily operations, coordinating with human resources, legal, sales, marketing, manufacturing, accounting, IT, and other departments.
  • Manage daily business operations, working closely with Executives and Senior Management to support day-to-day activities.
  • Support other senior executives and employees, advising on promotions, recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with national and local business regulations and take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Report to the CEO about daily operations and plans for upcoming adjustments or developments in business operations strategy or company goals and objectives.
  • Stand in for the CEO if they are out of the office or otherwise engaged.
  • Develop and implement policies for daily operations, and communicate these changes to department supervisors.
  • Ensure alignment with current company policies and goals, including those created by the COO, CEO, and other executives.
Requirements:
  • Honours or MBA in Business Management.
  • 10 - 15 years of proven track record in an executive role within the Textile or Apparel Manufacturing industry.
  • Proven leadership and management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to build strong, long-lasting relationships with professionals at all organizational levels.
  • Aptitude for identifying new areas for business growth and development.
  • Ability to establish and maintain partnerships and provide thought leadership.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Strong business acumen with high analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to achieve targets and meet deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to monitor and evaluate new opportunities in the industry.
  • Proven track record in recruiting and managing a high-functioning team.
