TB HIV Care (THC), in existence since 1929, is an internationally recognised non-profit organisation. Purpose of the position:
The CPO is a member of the Board and will provide leadership, operational, and technical support to multiple programmes. The CPO will be responsible for managing relationships and engagement with multiple stakeholders

Minimum Requirements
Degree as Medical Doctor
Registered with HPSCA
Diploma / Master's in Public Health
Diploma in HIV Management / TB
A minimum of 10 years' experience in implementing and managing public health programmes
Experience in budgets
Monitoring, evaluation and reporting
Valid driver's licence and be willing to travel
Clear criminal record

Duties and Responsibilities
Provide leadership, vision and develop policies to achieve the programme's goals
Ensure adherence to the culture and values of the organisation
Execute the fiduciary responsibilities in accordance with ethical standards, statutory requirements and sound corporate governance practices
Advocate on behalf of the programme at various levels including policy makers and healthcare providers
Advocate to review and improve gender-sensitive and transformative policies, plans and programmes
Ensure the implementation of a national TB education campaign as provided by the National Strategic Plan (NSP)
Develop research protocols for Global Fund projects and ensure the delivery of projects and associated reports, papers and research outcomes
Promote THC as the leading policy maker in the country
Supervise, manage and provide technical support to Programme Directors
Develop strategic plans in pursuance of the programme's vision and mission
Manage risk through the development of contingency plans
Ensure the provision of on-going sources of financial support by securing grant funding
Direct the development of work plans aligned to operational budgets
Ensure compliance with funder and statutory rules and regulations
Ensure financial viability through sound cash flow management and oversight of budgets and expenditure
Ensure the review of the programmes' performance to mitigate risk and to ensure continuous improvement and management of the grant
Take responsibility for the monitoring and evaluation function of the programmes
Ensure that periodic evaluations and assessments are conducted to inform programme decision making and to produce quality reports
Direct the M & E unit on the collection of data, development of tracking systems and reports and the dissemination thereof to relevant stakeholders for improved service delivery, collaboration and knowledge sharing
Direct the QI unit on the development of QI technical support initiatives
Drive the implementation of QI projects for the identification of gaps and improvement of service delivery
Ensure the validation and compliance of quality processes by documented assessments and feedback systems
Direct the collection of strategic information and ensure the systematic analysis thereof to effectively monitor key indicators and inform decision making
Build and maintain professional relationships with key influencers, funders, technical experts, government departments, healthcare providers and other organisations
