The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all safety measures and protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. This individual will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks
- Collaborate with department heads and employees to promote a culture of safety and responsibility
- Monitor and analyze safety data and trends to identify areas for improvement
- Provide training and resources to employees on safe work practices and procedures
- Investigate and report on accidents and incidents, and implement corrective actions as necessary
- Ensure that all safety equipment and gear are properly maintained and used according to guidelines
- Coordinate with external agencies and stakeholders to stay abreast of industry best practices and regulationsQualifications:- National Diploma in Safety Management
- Trade Certificate or a Blasting Certificate
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role in the mining industry
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Experience with safety management software and toolsBenefits:
