Our Client a Global Tech firm is seeking a Cisco Cybersecurity Engineer to join their team in the Western Cape on a contract basis. They offer stability, growth, attractive rate and a great working environment.The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and securing our network infrastructure using Cisco technologies, including Cisco Firepower, Cisco Duo, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco ISE, and Cisco Web Security Appliances. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions to protect our organization's data and systems from cyber threats.Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy security solutions using Cisco Firepower, Cisco Duo, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco ISE, and Cisco Web Security Appliances.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and other security appliances.
• Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and potential threats.
• Maintain and update security systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Respond to security incidents and breaches, conducting thorough investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Coordinate with other IT teams to resolve security issues and improve incident response processes.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present security reports to management and stakeholders.
• Provide training and support to staff on security best practices and the use of security tools.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP Security, CCIE Security, or CISSP are highly desirable.

Experience:

• Proven experience in managing Cisco security solutions, including Cisco Firepower, Cisco Duo, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco ISE, and Cisco Web Security Appliances.
