These support the rapid development of these energies throughout Africa.This Sector is looking for another talented professional to complement their team, in the form of a Civil Construction Supervisor.We welcome your application if you believe you meet the requirements for this position.The below listed responsibilities and requirements will be assessed during the interview stages and will further be confirmed with the relevant professional references that you currently are or have reported to in your previous two positions.Key ResponsibilitiesEnvironmental: Guide and support the contractors to ensure compliance with the project EMPrsHealth & Safety: Provide active and demonstrable support to the HSE Officers to enforce the HSE Plan on siteContractor management on civil works: Ensure BOP contractors comply with its construction contractDocument Management: Assist the Document Controller with site-generated project documentationPlanning: Support project Planner and Contract Manager Surveyor with progress measurementsReporting: Support internal team with reporting and preparation of external reporting to the ClientQuality: Support the Quality Manager during the quality processEskom Self-Build Works: Attend monthly Eskom meeting for Self-Build Works coordination and progressCommercial: Assist Construction Site Manager and Commercial team with supporting document compilation for Project milestone payment claimsLiaising: Proactive interaction with internal and external stakeholders during the construction of all Civil Works Job RequirementsQualificationsTertiary qualification in an Engineering or Construction field (BSc, BTech, Engineering Diploma)ExperienceMinimum 10 years work experience as civil site engineer or civil construction supervisor, with at least 4 years experience on renewable projects.Person RequirementsCore RequirementsAn excellent working knowledge of MS OfficeWillingness to be site-based in Northern Cape for the full duration of the projectGeneral technical acumenSpeaks and writes English fluentlyGood knowledge of another language is an advantageIn possession of a valid drivers licenseMedically fitGeneral RequirementsEffectively communicate company values and objectives on site.Above average report writing skill, with good spelling and grammar acumenHigh social and intercultural competenceGood communication skills - reliable and trustworthyDetail orientated- able to follow up on details, monitor and report on progressGood team worker with sense of the common goodLevel-headed leadershipProactive, with high level of entrepreneurship, energy level and motivationStrong negotiating ability with workforceAnalytical thinking with focus on customer and goal achievement
