Design and analyze structural components of mining plants, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Conduct site inspections, structural assessments, and integrity evaluations of existing plant infrastructure.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Mechanical, Electrical, and Geotechnical Engineers, to develop engineering solutions.
Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for structural projects.
Provide engineering support during construction, including reviewing contractor work and ensuring adherence to design plans.
Ensure that all structural designs prioritize safety, sustainability, and operational efficiency.
Stay up to date with industry trends, materials, and construction methods to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Masters Degree is an advantage).
5+ years of experience in civil/structural engineering, preferably in the mining or heavy industrial sector.
Proficiency in structural design software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or similar.
Strong knowledge of mining plant infrastructure, including conveyors, foundations, and support structures.
Experience with relevant engineering standards and codes (e.g., ASCE, AISC, ACI, Eurocodes).
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong communication skills for coordinating with stakeholders and preparing technical documentation.
