Job Summary Job Title: Civil Engineer (QAQC) - SS & TL
Location: Groblershoop, Northern Cape
Salary: R35 000 - R45 000 - Depending on Qualification and experience
Benefits: On- site accommodation, and transport will be provided
Closing date: End July 2024Duties and responsibilities:

• Conduct quality inspections and audits of civil construction activities including foundations, structures, and utilities to ensure compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures, protocols, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead site supervision activities, ensuring that construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.
• Manage and coordinate construction teams, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the civil engineering team, including task allocation, performance monitoring, and mentoring.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to address quality-related issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on quality assurance activities, progress, and compliance metrics.

Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 6 to 8 years of experience in civil engineering and quality assurance/control within the renewable energy, Transmission Line or substation construction, solar project experience is a plus.
• Proven track record in overseeing civil construction activities, conducting quality inspections, and implementing quality control measures.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and relevant regulations.
• Experience in site supervision and managing construction teams.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools for documentation and reporting.
