Requirements:

• Civil Engineering Degree
• Registration or eligible to register as a Candidate/Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
• 5 - 10 years of professional experience as a civil engineer
• 1-2 years' experience in the Telecommunications industry
• Proficiency in Autodesk software, specifically Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Officexc3x82

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive mast conditional assessments to evaluate the structural health and integrity of various installations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
• Utilize advanced techniques and methodologies to assess the integrity of structures, including but not limited to bridges, buildings, towers, and other infrastructure, identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities.
• Perform asset register assessments to accurately catalog and document structural assets, maintaining a detailed inventory of all relevant information such as condition, maintenance history, and criticality.
• Employ data analysis techniques to interpret assessment findings, extracting meaningful insights and trends to support decision-making processes regarding maintenance, repair, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate assessment results effectively, providing clear recommendations and action plans to address identified issues and ensure the safety and reliability of structures.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to validate assessment findings, verify asset conditions, and identify any changes or developments that may impact structural integrity.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing assessment results, findings, and recommendations, delivering timely updates to stakeholders and management as necessary.
