Job Summary EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: xc3x99 Degree in Civil Engineering . xc3x99 Must be registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). xc3x99 Experience in designing Solar PV plants, and Substations desired. xc3x99 Practical site experience of construction sites. (Solar PV plants and Substations desired). xc3x99 Specific knowledge of Standards and Specifications that apply. xc3x99 Experience in working with Eskom desired. xc3x99 Must have good knowledge of software design packages such as Prokon and Civil 3D. xc3x99 Knowledge of FIDIC and other Engineering & Construction contracts . xc3x99 Proficient in the English language. (Written and spoken) xc3x99 Minimum of 5 years experience in similar capacity . TECHNICAL SKILLS xc3x99 Computer literate. xc3x99 Ability to work on CAD and other design software . xc3x99 Must have good technical writing skills . xc3x99 Must be willing to learn and develop with change in technology. xc3x99 Protection and grading studies . xc3x99 Ability to generate detailed bills of quantities (BoQ) COMPETENCIES xc3x99 Ability to translate and implement client specifications and requirements into basic and detailed designs. xc3x99 Understanding of Environmental and other regulatory requirements and their influence on designs. xc3x99 Stormwater management and drainage designs. xc3x99 Pile foundation designs. xc3x99 Road designs. xc3x99 Equipment foundation designs. xc3x99 Building designs. xc3x99 Concrete foundation design. xc3x99 Interpreting and applying Geotechnical, Hydrological and Topographical information. xc3x99 Ability to assess and select key materials and components based on technical and commercial characteristics. xc3x99 Generating SANS 1200 BOQs from designs. xc3x99 Developing cost estimates and writing technical clarifications for tenders. xc3x99 Ability to multitask and undertake multiple projects simultaneously at various stages of project development and execution. xc3x99 Competent and professional interaction with client engineering teams. xc3x99 Demonstrated ability in managing engineering teams and or engineering consultants. xc3x99 Ability to travel to project sites as and when required.Bridge Personnel ccRecruiter
