Job Summary Civil Site Engineer (PV) Northern Cape - De Aar EMAIL CV TO Civil Site Engineer - PV PURPOSE To manage and supervise the on-site civil engineering activities, ensuring that the construction and installation of solar power systems proceed smoothly, safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications. RESPONSIBILITIES xe2x80xa2 Participate in the evaluation of potential sites for PV installations, considering factors like soil conditions, topography, drainage, and accessibility. xe2x80xa2 Oversee and manage site clearing, grading, and preparation activities to ensure a suitable and level platform for the PV system. xe2x80xa2 Monitor the construction of foundations and structural support systems for solar panels, ensuring they meet engineering specifications and local building codes. xe2x80xa2 Enforce safety measures and protocols to protect workers during construction, adhering to safety standards and regulations. xe2x80xa2 Implement quality control measures to ensure that the civil construction work meets project specifications and industry standards. xe2x80xa2 Collaborate with construction teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure the timely and proper execution of civil engineering aspects. xe2x80xa2 Manage the procurement and utilization of materials, tools, and equipment necessary for civil engineering work. xe2x80xa2 Assist in managing the budget and resource allocation for the civil engineering aspects of the project, monitoring costs and resource usage.
