Job Summary Civil Site Engineer - Substation Northern Cape - De Aar EMAIL CV TO PURPOSE To oversee the civil engineering aspects of substation projects, ensuring that the infrastructure is designed, constructed, and maintained to support the electrical equipment and meet safety and regulatory requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES xe2x80xa2 Conduct site assessments to evaluate the suitability of the location for the substation, considering factors like soil conditions, topography, drainage, and accessibility. xe2x80xa2 Develop detailed designs and specifications for the substation infrastructure, including layout, foundations, equipment placement, and access roads, while adhering to industry standards and local regulations. xe2x80xa2 Design and supervise the construction of foundations or supports for electrical equipment, such as transformers, switchgear, and control buildings, ensuring stability and loadbearing capacity. xe2x80xa2 Ensure the structural integrity of substation buildings, fencing, and equipment supports, meeting design specifications and local building codes. xe2x80xa2 Enforce safety protocols and standards to protect workers during construction and ensure a safe working environment within the substation. xe2x80xa2 Implement quality control measures to ensure that the civil infrastructure is constructed to meet design specifications and industry standards.
