RINA is currently looking for CIVIL WORKS SUPERVISOR in South Africa (Eastern Cape).Essential functionsduties:
Ensuring, with support of HS and Environment Manager, the implementation of safety and hygiene provisions in the workplace and environmental protection, in compliance with local legislation.
Assuring the compliance of civil works performed with Issued for Construction (IFC) Design, Technical Specification, contractual requirements, quality, local laws and site sustainability.
Monitoring and tracking the progress of civil work activities, promptly detecting eventual criticalities or delays and proceeding in problem solving by coordinating with Site ManagerCoordinator, in order to reach schedule objectives defined.
Performing the measurement and classification of work executed and the compilation of the booklets of measurements and accounting (services entry sheet) required for the payment release.
Implementing Quality Control Plan on site, attending to the test execution when needed, and checking test reports and field data to assure quality requirement are being met.
Detecting possible nonconformities during the works activities, promptly informing the Site ManagerCoordinator and supporting him/her in Non Conformity Report opening and problem solving.
Supporting the Site Coordinator by ensuring the implementation of Design Change and Non Conformity resolution during construction and assembly activities.
Ensuring the compliance of the material delivered on site with the Technical specification and Design requirements.
Supervise civil C&SCs in order to meet technical and quality requirements set forth in civil drawings and specifications.
Responsible for monitoring and tracking all civil activities relating to project schedule.
Assist the on-site construction team in resolving technical or engineering issues with vendors and C&SCs relating to civil disciplines.
Attend all progress meetings.
AutoCAD design/drafting as necessary to assist the design team.
Check, verify and sign off quality of the works
Enforce health, safety and environmental plan and report non compliances

Smart glass inspection - remote inspections
Main Accountability
Data of Daily work progress and monitoring of their execution
Data of Daily manpower and crews
Validation of Site tests (with or without attendance) and Delivery certificates
Validation of Qualification reports of the Material purchased by the C&SCs with support of OWNER engineering disciplines
Validation of expeditingdelivery certificates of the material
Participation in the teams to checkclose the punch lists and their validations
Requirements:
The Civil Supervisor will be required to have a minimum of 5 years of professional cumulative experience in this role or equivalent.
BS Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline technical diploma.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Project).
Knowledge of AutoCAD.
Valid Driver's License.
Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments in adverse and extreme weather conditions and in confined spaces, heights and in energized Power Plants.
Knowledge of steel works execution, including micro piles and relevant supply requirements with the relevant applicable local codes in force.
Must be experienced in the concretegrout production, supply and pouring procedure with the relevant quality controls and qualification with the relevant applicable local codes in force.
Knowledge of monitoring and testing of road and earth work execution with the relevant applicable local codes in force in their latest and most updated version.
Knowledge of reinforced steel concrete execution, including pre-stressed with the relevant applicable local codes in force in their latest and most updated version.
Knowledge of local codes and standard about main technical aspects of civil constructions, constructions safety in their latest and most updated version.
Knowledge of control and acceptance procedure related of at least all civil items listed in Chapter 6.
Possibility to work during day/ night shift (including weekends).
Extensive travel with temporary relocation to construction sites for 6-24 months durations
