OPPORTUNITY

Santam's Legal Claims Solutions department has a position available for a Claims Manager: Specialist Liability that will be based in Alice Lane, Sandton.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

The primary purpose of this position is to effectively deal with personal legal liability and public liability claims, end to end.

The responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining the quality standards that drive client delight and cost efficiency and deliver first time right service excellence.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE?

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Determine if policy needs to respond to claims lodged by applying policy wording to the facts.
• Appointing and management of resources like loss adjusters and attorney.
• Correct settlement claims
• Effective diary management
• Liaise with brokers, administrators, underwriting and other relevant parties to the claims process, building a strong and effective professional relationship.
• Provide excellent professional service to all relevant parties, both internal and external.
• Authorization of claims payments in accordance with mandate.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Matric/ Grade 12
• Relevant Law degree
• Must be an admitted attorney.
• Minimum 5-10 years short-term insurance experience.
• Personal injury litigation experience will serve as an advantage.
• Liability claims management experience preferred.
