Job Description
Requirements:
- Education: Grade 10 or higher (Matric preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience operating a clamp forklift in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
- Certification: Valid Clamp Operator license.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of load capacity and safe handling techniques.
- Ability to operate and maneuver a clamp forklift in tight spaces.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic record-keeping and inventory management knowledge.
- Operate a clamp forklift to transport, load, and unload goods, including palletized and non-palletized items.
- Handle materials such as paper rolls, appliances, and other bulky items using clamp attachments.
- Ensure proper handling and stacking of goods to prevent damage.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after use to ensure operational safety.
- Follow safety procedures and report any equipment malfunctions or workplace hazards.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of stock movement.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff and supervisors to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
