Job Description

Orientate the student to the facility and the unit as required.
Facilitate teaching and learning experience in clinical practice and assessment.
Be available on the clinical site to supervise students.
Participate in ongoing evaluation of the clinical learning experience.
Monitor student movements and record keeping in the clinical practice.
Maintain a portfolio of evidence of own activities and submit monthly or as required.
Perform other clinical duties as assignments, such as practical sessions in the skills laboratory/simulation.
Assist in the remediation of students.
Liaise between the UFS School of Nursing and clinical practice.Inherent Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in nursing on NQF Level 8
Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a professional nurse (General, Psychiatry, Community) and Midwife.
Qualification in one of the following fields of specialisation: Primary Care Nursing or Occupational Health Nursing
A minimum of three (3) years of proven experience in the area of specialisation.
A valid driver's licence.Recommendations:
Additional qualifications in Nursing Education.
Moderators and assessor's course.
Registration as an assessor with the South African Nursing Council.
Clinical facilitators or preceptorship course.
Clinical facilitator experience.
Masters degree in nursing.Key Competencies Required:
