Clinical Counselling Psychologist - Plettenberg BayJob SummaryDuties & Responsibilities:Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for patients with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders.Provide assessments and diagnoses for mental health and substance use disorders.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.Participate in case conferences and staff meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment strategies.Maintain patient records and documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards.Stay current with research and best practices in addiction treatment and mental health care.Requirements:Relevant qualification as Clinical /Counseling Psychologist (Bpsych, Hons, Masters) with valid HPCSA registrationPrevious experience working in a hospital and not only private practice experienceExperience with in-patient settingsExperience working with patients with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders (substance abuse and eating disorders a must).Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high command of English first language.Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.Knowledge of evidence-based addiction treatment modalities and mental health interventions.Commitment to ethical and professional standards.EMDR qualified, trained and experienced would be advantageous
