Job Description

  • Plan, implement and complete clinical research activities in accordance with Good Clinical Practice and Standard Operating Procedures at the study site or clinic.
  • Arrange logistics and workflow at the study site or clinic.
  • Recruit study participants and maintain records of all participants.
  • Interview participants (infants and their mothers, and children).
  • Obtain consent from parents/guardians and assent from minors to participate in the study and ensure that all study participants have signed appropriate consent/assent documents.
  • Record essential data on the relevant forms/questionnaires (case report forms) meticulously and on time (promptly).
  • Maintain clear communication channels with the study team and routine clinic staff.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality.
Inherent Job requirements:
  • A Pharmacist Assistant qualification on NQF Level 3/NQF Level 4 or a Nursing qualification on NQF Level 6.
  • Current registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) or the South African Nursing Council (SANC) (attach proof).
  • A minimum of one (1) year clinical/practical experience in a relevant clinical environment.
Recommendations:
  • Current Good Clinical Practice certificate (attach a copy of the certificate).
  • A valid South African driver's license.
