Providing assistance to the study team in assuring the smooth running of the study as well as following procedures and attending to the needs of the study team
Location:
Jose Pearson TB Hospital, Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth)
Key performance areas:
Assist with filing of consent documents/questionnaires/case report forms and any other research related source documentation
Knowledge of protocol requirements and policies
Manage the filing room
Assist with any admin work needed
Liaise with Jose Pearson (DOH) about colour files and capturing on their EDR system- time is of the essence
Disperse urgent Jose Pearson files to correct team members - time is of the essence
General Filing
Manage patient flow
Assistance with consent process e.g. translations, completion of forms (QC & QA)
QA & QC assistance with study files
Regulatory per request
Back up to the study nurse with measuring of height and weight of participants
Act in a professional and friendly manner in all dealings with internal stakeholders
Always show a high level of customer centricity
Take ownership and accountability for tasks and demonstrate effective self-management
Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurately maintained
Maintain a positive attitude and respond openly to feedback
Take ownership for driving own career development by participating in ongoing training and development activities such as workshops, forums, conferences, etc.
Required minimum education and training:
Grade 12/Matric
Required minimum work experience and abilities:
2 years in a Research environment as Research Assistant - preferably in the TB field
Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities:
Good organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure
Attention to detail with regards to research documentation and GCP requirements
Resilience and the ability to show empathy
Maintenance of confidentiality will be required
