Clothing Orders Co Ordinator
Job Description
Gem Schoolwear, based in Morningside, Durban has a vacancy for an orders co-ordinator
Requirements:
3-5 years' experience in a similar position
Tertiary qualification in Production or Clothing Management advantageous
Matric
Excellent communication skills
Excellent numeracy skills
Attention to detail and deadline driven.
Able to work under pressure
Team player with a willingness to learn
Must be professional and have a sense of pride in his/her work
Must be energetic, lively, hard working, fast learner
Responsibilities:
Meeting and liaising with customers regarding orders placed, sample approval, lab dips, etc.
Obtaining raw material prices from suppliers.
Ensure all processes are followed timeously for the orders to delivered on time.
SYNC experience is a plus
Creating POs and style specs on Sync
Liaising with printers and embroiderers for samples and developments
Monitor and control delivery dates - updating schedules
Ensure all fabric, trims, etc. are received on time to ensure commencement of production.
Must have dealt with the major retail chain stores.
Run weekly reports on a critical path analysis template.
Position is full time, Monday to Friday and half day on Saturday.
