Cloud Database Engineer (senior)
Job Description
Essential Skills Requirements:
- Experience with Oracle database architecture, automation, and performance tuning.
- Expert knowledge of cloud architectures with a focus on databases.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including autonomous database provisioning and support.
- Minimum 5 years of practical experience in Oracle database administration or development.
- Flexibility to undertake additional responsibilities as assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter.Advantageous Skills Requirements:
- Sound experience with agile methods such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Proficiency in additional European languages is advantageous.Qualifications/Experience:
- Optional knowledge of PostgreSQL in a cloud environment.
- ITIL process knowledge and relevant work experience.
- Fluency in business English.Role and Responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud-based database solutions.
- Develop and maintain database migration plans.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve database-related issues.
- Ensure the security, reliability, and compliance of all database systems.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all database systems and processes.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in database engineering and cloud computing.
