Job Description
Our client is looking for a driver at their warehouse in George to safely transport company products and materials to and from specified locations in a timely manner.POSITION: PermanentCOMMENCEMENT: As soon as possibleQUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Grade 10 or similar qualification.
- A valid drivers licence (Code 10 or 14) and a valid PDP.
- A minimum of 2 - 3 years experience as a driver.
- Clear criminal record
- No endorcements on licence
- Fluent Afrikaans speaking, reading and writing skills - mandatory (do not apply if you do not meet this language job requirement)
- Assisting with the loading and offloading of products, and materials.
- Transport company products and materials to and from specified locations in a safe and timely manner.
- Following best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading the vehicle.
- Communicating with dispatchers, drivers and other team members to make deliveries.
- Performing basic truck maintenance.
- Completing daily routine checks and logbook.
- Loading and unloading cargo.
- Tracking shipments and deliveries.
- Obtaining client or customer signatures when needed.
