About the company: Import/ Export of SeafoodLocation: Phillipi, Western Cape
Salary: Market related
Working Hours: 08h00 - 17h00 (may fluctuate based on production/operational demands)
Contract Type: Permanent (subject to a 6-month probation period)Job PurposeTo ensure the secure transportation, loading, and offloading of seafood products in accordance with instructions, while upholding food safety, quality standards, and timely deliveries.Minimum RequirementsMatric or equivalent qualificationValid Code 10 Driver's Licence with no endorsements3-5 years' experience operating a truck in accordance with Code 10 requirementsExperience with cold store trucks is advantageousThorough knowledge of Cape Town routes and surrounding areasKey Skills & AttributesGood verbal and written communication skillsReliability, honesty, and integrityStrong attention to detailExcellent problem-solving abilitiesSelf-motivated with minimal supervision requiredAdaptable and willing to learnStrong ability to multitaskComfortable working under pressureGood time management and organizational skillsOpen to change and adopting new systemsFlexible in response to work demandsKey ResponsibilitiesPerform pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical and safety complianceDrive safely and adhere to road regulationsMaintain the security of goods in transitFollow scheduled delivery routes and timesEnsure delivery notes and invoices are accurately completedComply with customer and supplier delivery area protocolsUphold Food Safety and Quality procedures at all timesAssist with manual loading/offloading of stock when requiredImmediately report any delays or inability to meet delivery targets to the line manager
