Our client is looking for 10 Commercial Specialists who have experience in the field of Supply ChainPOSITION INFO:Role: Commercial/ Contracts Specialist (Supply Chain, Mining, Oil & Gas)Duration: 6 MonthsLocation: GautengPURPOSEOur client is looking for 10 Commercial Specialists who have experience in the field of Supply Chain, Mining or the Oil & Gas sectors, to join their team on a 6 month contract. You will be responsible for the management of commercial activities such as market engagements through RFPs and RFIs, procurement and contracting of specialized goods and services, development of intellectual property strategies, supplier performance management aimed at delivering greater levels of collaboration and innovation when compared to traditional, transaction purchasing arrangement, supplier risk management and issue resolution.Key Performance areas:Commercial agreementsResponsible for partnering with commercial teams for the selection of suppliers to meet a strategic business requirement.Supplier Performance ManagementManage initiatives, with supplier engagement, to drive a significant improvement in supplier performance or breakthrough value delivery. The requirement may have been identified through the supplier relationship (jointly identified by Anglo American and Supplier) or to address a performance issue which required focus and quick resolution.Partner with Global / Regional Category Management to define the business case, assess potential sharing of any financial benefit with the supplier and present a case, through the governance process, for approval.Inclusive ProcurementManage innovative initiatives, in partnership with suppliers, which accelerate delivery of our inclusive procurement goals and ambitions and beyond (high-impact only).Engage with Inclusive Procurement to ensure host community partner opportunities are recognisedIn response to a request from the IP team, engage and coordinate across a small group of host community suppliers to deliver a specific, transformational outcome or solution with speed.If you are looking for your next exciting project engagement opportunity, apply today.
