  • Oversee accounting for multiple business units.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Present financial reports and analyses to senior management and the board.
Cost Analysis & Control
  • Analyze costs vs. budget to identify key cost drivers.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Review expenditure reports for validity.
Procurement Management
  • Ensure effective procurement operations, securing the best products and prices.
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance.
  • Supervise procurement of office supplies and uniforms.
  • Conduct detailed cost analyses.
Stock & Asset Management
  • Plan and oversee monthly stock counts.
  • Conduct spot checks and identify slow-moving or expired stock.
  • Ensure proper stock receiving procedures are followed.
Treasury Functions
  • Verify and approve electronic bank payments.
  • Maintain optimal cash-flow levels.
  • Conduct monthly petty cash and credit card reconciliations.
Fleet Management
  • Oversee the purchase, registration, and maintenance of vehicles and trailers.
  • Manage insurance claims and logistics.
Fixed Assets Management
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
  • Ensure safekeeping and regular counts of assets.
Payroll Management
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll submissions.
  • Review and approve payroll costs.
Accounts Receivable
  • Review debtors age analysis and investigate issues.
Operational Support
  • Perform periodic late, night, and duty manager shifts.
  • Ensure operational risk mitigation and controls.
Tax Compliance
  • Calculate and reconcile VAT monthly.
  • Review monthly EMP201 submissions.
Budgeting
  • Compile annual budgets and prepare forecasts.
  • Review budget variances and resolve issues.
External Audit Preparation
  • Prepare annual audit files.
  • Assist with audit queries and ensure compliance with IFRS for SMEs.
Leadership & Management
  • Manage team performance and conduct appraisals.
  • Delegate tasks effectively.
Relationship Building
  • Develop relationships with Exco, BU managers, and external vendors.
  • Maintain open communication with team members.
Training
  • Ensure team proficiency in ERP and other financial systems.
  • Implement financial and operating systems in line with policies.
Ad-Hoc Support
  • Provide support for various financial requests.
Minimum Requirements
  • BCom Hons with articles or equivalent (essential)
  • CIMA, CA (SA) (preferable)
Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years in a management role within Accounting or Finance
  • Hospitality & Tourism Industry experience (beneficial)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office and Financial Accounting Systems (SAGE)
