About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Crime Compliance market expert to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new market opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and developing strategies to promote our financial crime compliance solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of the financial crime landscape, strong sales acumen, and the ability to manage key stakeholders both internally and externally.What to expectIn close collaboration with your product management and relationship management colleagues you will:Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Swift community of financial institutions.Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in financial institutions, corporations, and regulatory bodies.Develop appropriate market and solution expertise to act as a credible domain expert to assist in C-level and below conversations as well as assist in industry engagements and event presentationsConduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for growth.Develop appropriate market and solution expertise to act as a credible domain expert to assist in C-level and below conversations as well as assist in industry engagements and event presentationsPresent and demonstrate the value of our financial crime compliance solutions to prospective clients.Negotiate and close sales agreements, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client needs.Stay informed about industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in financial crime compliance.The key responsibilities will be to:Identify customer needs/market opportunities and achieve business growth by building and maintaining long term customer relationships within the assigned territory/accountsDevelop plans for sales accounts/campaigns in order to achieve targeted sales objectives generating revenueProvide regular tracking and reporting on sales activities - Represent SWIFT and promote the companys products and services in order to grow our business by participating in, and occasionally speaking at, workshops and conferencesProvide regular feedback on your markets and customer feedback on our products and services working closely with the product development team to ensure that our solutions evolve in response to regulatory changes and client needs.Acquire and maintain market, product and services knowledgeWhat will make you successful?In-depth knowledge of financial crime compliance regulations, AML (Anti-Money Laundering), KYC (Know Your Customer), and fraud prevention OR correspondent banking experience.At least 5-7 years of experience in sales and relationship management in the Sub-Saharan Africa region. Priority will be given to those who have previously sold FCC software and services to financial institutions in Africa ORExperience working in a Bank with awareness of AML, CTF and KYC processesStrong network of contacts within the financial services industry and regulatory bodies.
