Job Description

Commercial Underwriter with minimum 3 years' Short Term Insurance Underwriting experience preferably within a Broker environment, required for a national Brokerage based in Bedfordview.Minimum requirements:

• Matric
• Relevant Insurance related qualification - FAIS & RE required
• Minimum 3 years' experience in short term broker environment
• Minimum 3 years' Commercial Underwriting exp required
• Experience in a Broker environment required

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to underwriting process and turn around times to ensure clients are correctly covered and comply to FAIS requirements
• Provide assistance to Account Executives to enable them to render excellent service
• Process new business applications and renewals
• Prepare market exercises
• Monitor outstanding premiums
• Customer service
