The Senior Sales Manager (Light Truck, Van, Bakkie) should have the requisite knowledge & skills necessary to relieve the GM if and whenever necessary.

Leading a sales team

• Motivate the sales team (BDOxe2x80x99s/F&Ixe2x80x99s) to generate leads, build client relationships, and meet customer needs

Managing inventory

• Work with the inventory team to ensure there are enough vehicles and spare parts to meet customer demand and market trends

Analysing sales data

• Track and analyse sales statistics, such as sales volume, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction

Developing sales strategies

• Create and implement sales strategies to gain new accounts, counter competitorsxe2x80x99 promotions, and meet sales goals

Preparing sales budgets

• Prepare sales budgets and projections, and approve expenditures

Hiring and training

• Plan and direct the hiring and training of new BDOxe2x80x99s/F&Ixe2x80x99s collaboratively with the GM

Collaborating with other departments

• Work closely with other departments to ensure the dealership runs smoothly and profitably

Performance evaluation

• The SM is responsible for evaluating the Performance Appraisal of his subordinate BDOxe2x80x99s/F&Ixe2x80x99s

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years in same or similar role as light truck / van / bakkie Sales Manager in a Commercial Motor Industry environment
• Excellent understanding of automotive industry
• Goal / Target driven
• Commercial Vehicle experience ESSENTIAL!!!
