Job Description

Commis - Cruise Ship- Assist the chefs in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts- Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality of dishes- Help with the setup and organization of the kitchen, including stocking ingredients and maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment- Monitor food inventory and communicate with the chefs to ensure that all necessary ingredients are available- Collaborate with the rest of the kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment- Communicate any issues or concerns to the chefs in a timely manner- Continuously strive to improve your skills and knowledge in the culinary fieldRequirements:- High school diploma or equivalent- Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety regulations- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment- Strong organizational and time-management skills- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities- Willingness to learn and take direction from superiors- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds- A passion for food and a desire to provide exceptional dining experiences for our guestsWe offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for growth and advancement within our company.
