Ability to make a difference through our Corporate Social Responsibility activitiesWhat you will be doing:xc2xb7 Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair, within the cost margins specified by the hotel.xc2xb7 Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage. Have stock control procedures implemented and maintained.xc2xb7 Order necessary foods according to proposed business demands. Consult with Executive Chef for guidance and authorization of order.xc2xb7 Liaise with Restaurant employees regarding the availability of menu items, additions to the menu and any relevant changes.xc2xb7 Work with and co-ordinate the work of apprentices in the preparation and production of food as required.xc2xb7 Prepare and ensures availability of mise-en-place as required.xc2xb7 Keep all working areas clean and tidy. Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned. Report any problems to the Executive Chef.xc2xb7 Attend daily shift briefings to kitchen colleaguesxc2xb7 Promote a Fun/ Professional and Disciplined work environmentxc2xb7 Support & Motivate kitchen colleaguesxc2xb7 Actively share ideas, opinions & suggestions in daily shift briefingsxc2xb7 Ensure storeroom requisitions are accurate to minimize repeat visitsxc2xb7 Perform tasks to the standards & expectations set forthxc2xb7 Promote Health and Safety at all timesxc2xb7 Ensure proper hygiene as per Municipality and Health & Safety requirementsxc2xb7 Complete all grooming, spot check and temperature control sheets as requiredxc2xb7 Maintain cleanliness and proper rotation of product in all chillersxc2xb7 Minimize wastage/ spoilagexc2xb7 Communicate daily with supervisors to ensure open lines of communicationxc2xb7 Complete assigned tasks in an efficient and timely mannerxc2xb7 Strives to improve Trustyou results for Food Qualityxc2xb7 Daily checks of all mise en place to ensure freshness & quality standardsxc2xb7 Performs any other reasonable duties as required by the department headxc2xb7 Assist and liaise with chef on duty as requiredxc2xb7 One year minimum grill experience mandatoryQualificationsYour experience and skills include:
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to work cohesively and collectively as part of a team
