As a Commis Chef, you will be part of an elite culinary team, dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences that reflect the estate's renowned reputation for excellence.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in line with the estate's culinary standards.
- Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and kitchen safety.
- Contribute to the creation of innovative menus that reflect the estate's commitment to excellence.
- Ensure all food preparation is completed to the highest standards and within set time frames.
- Support in inventory management, ensuring all ingredients are fresh, well-stocked, and stored correctly.
- Proven experience as a Commis Chef in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel.
- Strong passion for culinary arts and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
- Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Candidates must either reside close to Stellenbosch or be willing to relocate.
