Hire Resolve's client is seeking a knowledgeable Commodity Specialist to join their mining operations in the Northern Cape. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement of mining commodities.Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for mining commodities to ensure cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the procurement of mining materials.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand commodity needs and ensure timely supply.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Monitor and analyze supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Grade 12
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Financial Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years' experience in procurement or commodity management, preferably in the mining industry.
- 3 years' operational management of stakeholder relationship experience.
- Understanding of the mining supply chain and commodity markets.
- Valid Drivers' License
- Salary: Negotiable
