Job Purpose
Provincial Treasury, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to provide corporate communication services to the department. This post is stationed at Cape Town, CBD.
Minimum Requirements
An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Communications, Public relations or related field; A minimum of 1 year relevant experience; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence.
NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.
Recommendation
Experience in the following: Graphic design using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Mailchimp and Canva; Digital and
social media; Photography; Web content management and systems as Drupal.
Key Performance Areas
Develop, monitor and enhance the department's corporate identity and brand; Design and implement communication campaigns and products; Coordinate and report on website analytics and social media campaigns; Provide a media liaison and events management service.
Competencies
Knowledge of the following: Applicable policies, legislation, guidelines, standards, procedures and best practices; Public service procedures; Implementing communication policy and strategies; Global, regional, local, economic and social affairs impacting the citizen and the Western Cape Government; Skills needed: Proven computer literacy; Written and verbal communication; Social management; Graphic design.
Remuneration
R 376 413 - R 443 403 per annum (Salary level 8)
Note on remuneration in addition Service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
Notes
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting.
