Communication Specialist Marketing
Durban - KwaZulu Natal - South AfricaOur client, a well-known South African company in the financial services sector is on the search for a versatile & results-oriented Communication Specialist to join their Marketing team in Durban. The role requires crafting impactful messaging across diverse product lines, while strategically aligning with our business objectives for sustainable growth. The Communications Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring effective communication strategies are developed and executed while also fostering positive relationships with our clients to drive business growth and client satisfaction. This position requires a blend of communication skills, marketing acumen, and a customer-centric approach.Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Communication, Journalism, MarketingB Business or related field
• 10 Years experience in customer relationship management, coporate communications, public relations, or marketing communications
• Familiarity with home loan products, mortgage lending processes, and regulatory requirements is a plus.
• Demonstrate ability to create high-quality written content for diverse audiences and channels.
• Experience managing media relations, securing press coverage, and responding to media inquiries.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Performance Areas:

• Strategic communication planning
• Identify target audiences & tailor communication messages to resonate with specific demographics
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate communication efforts across all marketing channels
• Content creation & management
• Work with internal Copywriter to produce clear, concise, & compelling copy for marketing material, press releases, blog posts, & newsletters
• Develop content that builds & maintains strong relationships with clients through proactive communication on various channels
• Develop comprehensive communication strategies
• Work with creative partners to create engaging & impactful content for various communication channels
• Manage media relations through PR Agency by pitching stories to journalists, responding to media inquiries, and organizing press conferences or interviews.
• Develop crisis communication plans and manage communication during emergencies to protect the company's reputation.
• Community outreach programs to enhance the company's reputation.
• Facilitate internal communication by organizing town hall meetings, developing employee newsletters, and ensuring employees are informed about company news and initiatives.
