Job Description


The role is responsible for the research, development and delivery of the organisations communications/digital campaigns strategy and plans. You will work across the whole department and organisation, ensuring compelling, persuasive and effective campaigns are in place to promote the organisation and all aspects of its work to the public, key target groups and relevant healthcare professionals and to ensure that these are delivered on budget, on brief and on time. You will take the lead towards ensuring that global campaigns are executed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Campaign planning and execution:
  • To develop and oversee the delivery of multi-channel communications and digital plans and campaigns to raise brand awareness and drive donor registrations and fundraising donations alongside PR/Communications and Digital teams.
  • To ensure that all materials are accurate prior to printing.
  • Ensure that all venues, whether internal or external, are safe for teams to work in, whether for organisational or partner events
  • To liaise closely with the HoD: Community Engagement and Communications Manager, Digital and Brand Teams and global comms team on the implementation of all plans and campaigns.
  • To work closely with communications and PR, donor recruitment, data management, donor requests, fundraising, medical and digital marketing colleagues regarding arrangements, project management and execution of tasks.
  • To work closely with different departments to identify key dates, messages and aims for an overarching annual campaign calendar, and project lead execution of such projects to the highest standard.
  • To research possible partnerships for donor recruitment, brand awareness and fundraising opportunities, liaising with different departments on best outcomes
  • Supporting the development and implementation of marketing campaigns.
  • Lead on email communication for partnerships ensuring that all materials are either sourced, conceptualised or created in order to get the best outcomes for all projects.
  • To assist with sourcing and managing external agencies and suppliers, developing and maintaining strong relationships and ensuring best value for money.
  • Ensure invoices related to the role are processed promptly and pass on information about paid activities expenses and invoices to the Finance Department.
  • To participate in staff training, organisation/team meetings and events, as required.
  • To be current and knowledgeable about the global and national mission, goals and brand propositions to its various target audiences.
  • Any other duties deemed appropriate by the Communications Manager, subject to time and commensurate with level of responsibility and salary.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Relevant degree or B Degree qualification (ideally project management, communications and media related), or demonstrable equivalent experience.
  • At least five years project management experience, managing multi-channel plans to tight deadlines and budget and a solid track record of meeting and exceeding work targets.
  • Proven record in performance managing successful integrated and high value campaigns, services and products, including off-line and digital campaigns.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of delivering activity across multiple communications channels.
  • Proven experience of setting KPIs and measuring performance again these; sharing insight and proposing improvements.
  • Desirable, but not essential: Experience of working in Media, Communications and Digital.
  • Desirable, but not essential: Experience of working for an international organisation.
  • The role involves some national and international travel for the purposes of attending campaign-related meetings and events
