The Community Liaison Officer is responsible for liaising between the construction team and the community on a project. The incumbent is responsible to build mutually beneficial relationships between the project team and relevant community members and to facilitate effective communication to support the on-time and within budget delivery of the project. The direct line of communication is with the main contractor.
Key Performance Area 1. Acts as liaison between the construction team and the community on a project site 2. Provides project documentation and business reporting support 3. Builds and maintains constructive, co-operative and sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders 4. Sourcing of suitable labour required by main contractor 5. Deal with community human resources matters 6. Attend to any other specific duties assigned by the main contractor Academic Qualification Grade 12 (Matric) National Diploma (NQF 5) in Public Administration or related field Experience 2-3 Years of community related work Key Relationships Local Community GVK-SZ Employees Role specific demands Must be a resident of Bloemfontein Previous experience as a CLO would be advantageous Must be able to communicate, read and write in English and speak Sesotho Must be reliable and accountable Must be familiar with communities local to the Bloemfontein area Must be currently unemployed, willing to be on site daily and willing to work extended hours
