Job Summary Compliance & Ethics Manager Renewable Energy Overview: An exciting opportunity exists for a Compliance & Ethics Manager to establish and lead the compliance function within a fast-growing renewable energy company . The role requires a self-starter who can develop and implement a comprehensive compliance strategy while ensuring adherence to regulatory and ethical standards across the business. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a compliance and ethics framework tailored to the business. Conduct a gap analysis in the first 36 months to identify compliance needs and risks. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements , particularly in the IPP and renewable energy sectors. Collaborate with legal, finance, and operational teams to integrate compliance measures. Advise on corporate governance, legal compliance, and ethical business practices . Build and scale the compliance function in line with the companys rapid growth. Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices. Ideal Candidate Profile: 5+ years of experience in a compliance, legal, or regulatory role . Strong background in renewable energy, construction, or mining sectors. Proven ability to establish and lead a compliance function. Experience working in a corporate environment (not large multinational firms). Knowledge of IPP office requirements and regulatory frameworks. Ability to work independently and drive compliance initiatives. Location & Work Environment: Hybrid role , based in Gauteng . Flexible working arrangement with an in-office requirement.
