Compliance & Ethics Manager Renewable EnergyOverview:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Compliance & Ethics Manager to establish and lead the compliance function within a fast-growing renewable energy company. The role requires a self-starter who can develop and implement a comprehensive compliance strategy while ensuring adherence to regulatory and ethical standards across the business.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a compliance and ethics framework tailored to the business.
- Conduct a gap analysis in the first 36 months to identify compliance needs and risks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, particularly in the IPP and renewable energy sectors.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and operational teams to integrate compliance measures.
- Advise on corporate governance, legal compliance, and ethical business practices.
- Build and scale the compliance function in line with the companys rapid growth.
- Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices.
- 5+ years of experience in a compliance, legal, or regulatory role.
- Strong background in renewable energy, construction, or mining sectors.
- Proven ability to establish and lead a compliance function.
- Experience working in a corporate environment (not large multinational firms).
- Knowledge of IPP office requirements and regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to work independently and drive compliance initiatives.
- Hybrid role, based in Gauteng.
- Flexible working arrangement with an in-office requirement.
