Completed Law degree.
Postgraduate qualification in compliance or relevant certification (e.g., Certified Compliance Professional) is advantageous.
Regulatory Examination (RE1 and RE5) passed.
3 or more years of experience in compliance or risk management.
1 or more years of experience specific to FAIS compliance.
Solid understanding of South African regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to retail operations.Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with Registrar requirements under section 8(1)(a) of the NCA.
Develop and implement compliance monitoring plans.
Conduct periodic reviews and audits to identify compliance risks.
Analyse data and documentation to evaluate control effectiveness.
Report findings and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address compliance issues.
Provide guidance and training on compliance matters.
Stay updated on changes in legislation and industry best practices.
Document monitoring activities and findings in reports.
Assist in responding to regulatory inquiries.
