As a Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our client's regulatory compliance framework. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge mobility solutions while ensuring adherence to financial services regulations. You'll be at the forefront of regulatory changes, providing valuable insights and implementing robust compliance procedures.Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a sound regulatory compliance framework, including policies and monitoring processes
- Conduct compliance audits and investigations, providing comprehensive reports to management and executive committees
- Stay ahead of legislative changes, offering strategic advice on their impact on the business
- Manage FAIS Fit and Proper requirements and maintain crucial compliance registers
- Lead compliance training initiatives and special investigations
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure company-wide regulatory adherence
- Drive the implementation of key regulations such as TCF, POPI, CPA, FAIS, FICA, and Insurance legislationRequirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' compliance experience within Financial Services or Insurance
- FSCA Category 1 Approved Compliance Officer certification
- RE1 and RE5 qualifications
- Applicable degree in Insurance/Risk, Legal, or Compliance
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial services legislation, particularly TCF, POPI, CPA, FAIS, FICA, and Insurance laws
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing regulatory landscapes
- CISA associate membership (advantageous)
