Compliance Supervisor

Job Description
Operations:
Stay current with regulatory and quality control standards.
Manage documentation, internal audits, and compliance reports.
Identify and report non-conformances; conduct root cause analysis.
Perform unannounced inspections to ensure audit readiness.
Oversee stock control and coordinate compliance-related procedures (e.g. pest control, hygiene, safety meetings).
Quality:
Assess processes against standards; raise and follow up on non-conformances.
Validate effectiveness of corrective actions.
Compliance:
Conduct regular compliance and H&S checks (glass control, pest checks, hygiene).
Maintain thorough records and ensure adherence to policies.
Communication & Reporting:
Analyze environmental and water sampling results; provide timely feedback.
Ensure clear communication across all levels.
Manage audit schedules and non-conformance reporting.
HR & Training:
Train staff on packhouse procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements through inductions and refresher sessions.
General:
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Responsibilities may shift during the off-season.
Qualifications & Experience:
Matric (Grade 12)
BRCGS or HACCP certification
2-3 years relevant packhouse compliance experience
Familiarity with food safety auditing
Competencies:
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Effective time management and organizational abilities
Excellent communication (verbal and written)
Leadership and emotional intelligence
Ability to multitask and maintain a professional demeanor
Between 3 - 5 Years
