Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Conference Producer to join our Mining portfolio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching, developing, and managing the content and speakers for our energy-focused conferences. You will play a vital role in crafting the agenda, identifying key industry trends, and ensuring our events address the critical challenges and opportunities in the mining sector.

Key Responsibilities

Market Research & Content Development

:
Conduct in-depth research to identify industry trends, challenges, and opportunities.

Develop compelling and relevant conference agendas, themes, and session topics based on market feedback.

Identify and engage high-profile speakers, moderators, and panelists.

Event Planning & Management

:
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure the successful delivery of each event.

Work within budget and deadlines to deliver high-quality conferences.

Develop project timelines and manage all elements of the event lifecycle.

Speaker Management

: Source and invite speakers, ensuring they align with the conference objectives. Manage communication, briefing, and logistical arrangements for all speakers.

Stakeholder Engagement

:
Build relationships with industry leaders, associations, and potential sponsors to enhance event credibility.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure sponsorship and partnership opportunities are maximized.

Onsite & Post-Event Coordination

: Ensure smooth onsite execution of the conference, managing speaker sessions and attendee experience. Gather and analyse post-event feedback for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Proven experience in conference production, preferably within the mining or related sectors. Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to identify market trends and key industry challenges. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. A creative mindset with a passion for creating engaging and impactful events. Familiarity with digital marketing, social media, and content creation is a plus.

Pay: R25000,00 - R30000,00 per month
