Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring of the SHE management system and the enhancement of employees, visitors and sub-contractorxe2x80x99s occupational health and safety as well as reduce any impact on the environment, in line with current Organisationxe2x80x99s rules, SHE legislation and SHE management systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Education
- SAMTRAC or Equivalent and registered with SACPCMP as CHSO
- Hazard identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA), Incident Investigation, First Aid, Basic Fire Fighting, Construction Regulations, Legal Liability, Internal Auditing (ISO14001 and ISO 45001)
- 5 yearsxe2x80x99 practical experience in occupational health and safety with SACPCMP registration as CHSO or higher
- Relevant SHE legislation (OHS Act, NEMA, Mine H&S Act, COID Act)
- Organizational Policies, Procedures and Rules
- International management systems (ISO 45001 and ISO 14001)
- Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
- Technical knowledge to understand construction
- Auditing & Inspections
- Administration and record keeping
- Time management
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Valid / applicable driverxe2x80x99s license
- Hazard identification & risk assessment (HIRA)
- Incident investigation
