Job Description

Hire Resolve is currently looking for a competent and experienced Construction Manager to join our client's team in Durban.As Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely completion of projects.Main Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate construction activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Oversee and supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
• Review project specifications, blueprints, and drawings to ensure accuracy and feasibility
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed
• Prepare and present progress reports to clients and stakeholders
• Manage project budgets and control costs
• Implement and enforce health and safety protocols

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of construction experience in large corporations
• Experience in mechanical, piping, and structural steel
• Proficiency in installation of heat exchangers and pressurized equipment
• Registered with PMI (Project Management Institute) and PPM (Professional Project Manager)
• SACPMP registered
• Computer literate, proficient in MS Project or Primavera for creating project schedules
• Ability to liaise with clients
• Experienced in managing supervision and assembling method statements
• Proficient in planning and coordinating different disciplines
• Fluent in English
• Conducts oneself professionally at all times
• Demonstrates an excellent track record with contactable references
