Proven experience in sales within the building industry, preferably specializing in tiles or related products
Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications
Independent worker, self-motivated to drive sales and achieve goals
Basic understanding of technical aspects related to tile detailing, construction, and architecture will be beneficial for interpreting architectural plans and recommending suitable tile solutions
Strong communication & negotiation skills
Ability to identify clients' needs and propose solutions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software is required for maintaining records, quotations, and managing client interactions
Valid driver's license and own vehicle may be required
A developed client base in this industry, building relationships with architects, contractors etc.
DUTIES
Client Communication and Project Refinement establishing clients requirements
Market Research and Supplier Identification
Compiling a definitive list of products to present to client, liaise with sales coordinator, together manage the costing, stock availability & organise samples
Develop relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors, and other key stakeholders in the construction and design industries
Actively prospect new clients and identify opportunities for business growth
Provide expert product knowledge and guidance to clients on design tailored solutions
Collaborate with internal team, including customer service, logistics, and marketing
Process quotations, ensure accuracy before handing over to sales coordinator
Discuss tile detailing such as tile trims, cutting, and tiling layouts
Effectively instruct the sales & operations team on technical requirements per project
Read and interpret architectural plans and specifications
Extract accurate measurements from plans providing precise quotations to clients.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure profitable deals
Stay informed about industry trends, new product developments, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote company products and expand market reach
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and business transactions using CRM software
