Construction SHEQ Officer - MidrandFull job descriptionOur company which is in the construction sector and specialising in telecommunications, electrical engineering, civil engineering and general building projects is looking for a SHEQ Officer to fill the above stated position.Roles and ResponsibilitiesReporting to the General Manager OHS, the Group SHEQ Officer shall be responsible for:xc2xb7 Development and implementation of SHEQ systemsxc2xb7 Maintaining compliance with safety regulationsxc2xb7 Compilation, approval and maintenance of construction project safety filesxc2xb7 Safety induction training and other necessary safety trainingxc2xb7 Development and implementation of emergency preparedness and response proceduresxc2xb7 Carrying out planned safety audits on our projects and subcontractorsxc2xb7 Supervision of site safety officersxc2xb7 Identifying and assessing hazards, risks, and control measures for specific operations or processesxc2xb7 Compiling and presenting monthly safety reports to the Executive Committee on the companys safety performanceRequired Qualifications and Experiencexc2xb7 National Diploma or Higher in Safety Management/Environmental Science/Environmental Healthxc2xb7 Valid registration with the SACPCMP as a Construction Health and Safety Officer (CHSO) or Construction Health and Safety Manager (CHSM)xc2xb7 Valid Drivers Licensexc2xb7 Minimum of 5 years' experience as a construction health and safety officerFurther possession of the following is an added advantage:xc2xb7 ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001 System Development and Implementation Certificatexc2xb7 First Aid Certificatexc2xb7 HIRA Certificatexc2xb7 Incident Investigation CertificateJob Types: Full-time, PermanentEducation:Diploma (Required)Experience:Construction Health and Safety Officer: 5 years (Required)License/Certification:Drivers License (Required)Registration with the SACPCMP as a CHSO or CHSM (Required)
