These support the rapid development of these energies throughout Africa.This Subsidiary of the GIBB Group is looking for another talented professional to complement their team, in the form of a Construction Supervisor: Electrical.We welcome your application if you believe you meet the requirements for this position.The below listed responsibilities and requirements will be assessed during the interview stages and will further be confirmed with the relevant professional references that you currently are or have reported to in your previous two positions.Key ResponsibilitiesHealth and Safety: Provide active and demonstrable support to the HSE Officers to enforce the HSE Plan on siteEnvironmental: Guide and support the contractors to ensure compliance with the project EMPrsElectrical Construction Management: Ensure BOP contractors comply with its construction contractsDocument Management: Assist the Document Controller with site-generated project documentationCommercial: Assist Construction Site Manager and Commercial team with supporting document compilation for Project milestone payment claims.Interfacing with stakeholders: Proactive interaction with internal and external stakeholders during the construction of all electrical works (i.e. landowner(s), local communities, Turbine Supply, BOP (electrical) Contractor, Environmental Control Officer, Eskom, Owner's engineer and adjacent wind project)Reporting: Support internal team with reporting and preparation of external reporting to the ClientQuality: Support the Quality Manager during the quality processDesign and Engineering Support: Support Owners Engineer with electrical engineering designs on site and review Technical Acceptance procedures from the contractorsPlanning: Support the project team with Cold and Hot Commissioning, Grid Connection, Grid Code Testing, and COD Job RequirementsQualificationsTertiary qualification in an Engineering or Construction field (BSc, BTech or equivalent as a minimum)ExperienceMinimum 10 years work experience as electrical site engineer or electrical construction supervisor, with at least 4 years experience on renewable projectsResponsibilitiesThe Electrical Construction Supervisor for the Koruson 1 Cluster Wind Farms will be responsible for the successful construction of the electrical reticulation network, substation and Eskom switching station on the project.
