You are a productive team player who thrives in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment and who is capable of working independently to deliver tasks to the expected level of quality with minimal.Main Purpose of the Role:Although the role will be located within our Clients team of Transport Practice Specialists, ones work may cut across more than one practice area and may span several geographies.The role will primarily centre around delivery, however, will also require you to provide significant support to various business development initiatives in the Middle East and Africa. For this reason one will be based at CT office but must be comfortable and prepared to spend considerable time travelling to and working on projects initiatives in the Middle East and Africa region.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe position will entail working with a diverse range of clients, in both public and private sector, assisting them to solve their most pressing strategic, organisational, and operational challenges.

  • Understanding and defining client problems, and developing hypotheses and methodologies to identify solutions, working collaboratively with clients and stakeholders;
  • Leading and/or coordinating quantitative and qualitative research and analysis to characterise, present, and motivate appropriate options;
  • Leading and/or coordinating the development of high-quality project collateral and deliverables, including slide decks, reports, tools, models, and/or other appropriate forms;
  • Leading and/or facilitating discussions, workshops, and similar with clients and stakeholders, virtually and in-person, to present findings, elaborate on recommendations, and iterate towards final solutions;
  • Assist in providing on-going advice and support towards the successful implementation of the preferred solutions, and realisation of expected outcomes;
  • Establish, cultivate, manage, and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, to understand their immediate and longer-term needs;
  • Managing cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams tackling complex and multi-faceted projects which may incorporate technical, legal, economic, financial, commercial, social, and environmental aspects;
  • Managing subcontractors, including overseeing the delivery of high-quality deliverables by these parties;
  • Managing and mentoring junior staff members;
  • Help drive growth of the practice by making active contributions to the developing new business opportunities, through developing and implementing business development strategies, building on current project work and client relationships, establishing new relationships with potential clients and partners, and the preparation and presentation of high-quality proposals;
  • Supporting project management and administration, to comply with client or company requirements and standard procedures;
  • Keeping abreast of relevant trends and best practices in the broader space, and developing knowledge products on topics in the sectors that the Company works in; and
  • Contributing to practice and company-wide strategic initiatives.
Key qualification, skills and attributes:
  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant field i.e. Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, Actuarial Science or Economics
  • 7-9 years of working in generalist and multi-disciplinary consultancy and/or business advisory, with a preference for experience in / familiarity with the transport sector
  • Experience in managing and delivering consulting assignments and comfort with client and contract management.
  • Comfort with undertaking, and guiding colleagues and subconsultants in, the delivery of quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform proposals and recommendations to clients.
Advantageous:
  • Postgraduate qualifications and/or professional associations.
  • Experience of working in the Middle East and/or Africa.
  • Experience of managing and delivering consultancy assignments in the public sector.
  • Experience in developing and driving business development initiatives, particularly in novel fields and geographies.
Attributes:
  • Comfort with complexity and detail, without losing sight of the broad, strategic objectives of projects.
  • Ability to communicate project solution proposals to clients and other stakeholders in a persuasive way that promotes buy-in and builds trust, both through written deliverables and presentations.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and deliver, individually or through others, deliverables of high quality.
  • Commercial acumen and project management capabilities.
